Privacy Policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and who else is involved when you make a call. Effective October 7, 2026.
Who we are and how to reach us
This website, lifepolicydesk.com, is published by Life Policy Desk, which is a trade name of Aliança Marketing LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. Life Policy Desk publishes plain-English guides about life insurance policies people already own. It sells no insurance, holds no insurance license, and is not an insurance agency. This policy explains what happens to information when you read the guides and when you call the phone number shown on them, (404) 905-5692.
Life Policy Desk is not an insurance company and not an insurance agency. Our part is publishing the guides on this site. The reading of a policy, and any advice about what to do with it, comes from a licensed independent insurance agent, who is who you reach when you call. That separation matters for privacy as well, because what you say to an agent on a call goes into the agent's own records, and those records are not ours.
You can reach us about anything in this policy by email at [email protected]. This policy takes effect on October 7, 2026.
What we collect
Two separate things happen here, and they are worth keeping apart. One is your visit to the website. The other is a phone call you decide to make. We hold very little from the first. From the second we hold a call record and a recording, for a limited time, and nothing else.
From a visit to the website, the following is collected automatically. None of it is asked for, because there is nothing on this site to fill in.
- Device and connection data. Your internet address, your browser and operating system, and the time of your request. This is the ordinary record any web server handles, and here it is handled by our website host, Cloudflare.
- Pages and advertising click data. Our pages load the Google tag, a small piece of code from Google. If you arrived from one of our Google Ads listings, the click carries an identifier and campaign details, and the Google tag reports that click and the pages you visited on this site back to Google. This tells us which advertisements lead to visits and calls.
- Call event data from the website. If you call from this site or from one of our ads, Google reports to us that a call happened, when it started, how long it lasted, and the area code of the number you called from.
When you call, the call itself creates a separate record on our phone platform, RingCentral. That record includes the number you called from, the number you dialed, the date and time, how long the call ran, and a recording of the call. Every call on our line is recorded, whether you called us or an agent called you. If you leave a voicemail, it is recorded and transcribed. See the recording section below.
What you tell an agent on a call is different, and this is the part most people want to be clear about. When you call, you are connected with a licensed independent insurance agent. Anything you tell the agent during that conversation, including your name, your policy details, your health, your beneficiaries or your money, is collected by that agent for their own work and is held in their own records. It is their record and not ours. Their use of it is governed by their own privacy notice and by the rules that apply to licensed insurance producers. We do not maintain a file on you built from what you said, and we cannot answer questions about what an agent has written down. The one exception is the call recording itself, which sits on our phone platform for a limited time, as described below. If you want to know what an agent holds, or want them to delete it, ask the agent directly. We will tell you who you spoke with if you ask us and we can identify the call.
What we do not collect
- No forms, no accounts and no logins. There is nothing to fill in or sign up for on this site, so there is no username, no password and no profile.
- No payments. No money is taken on this site. There is no cart, no checkout and no card field, so no card or bank details reach us.
- No sensitive identifiers. We do not ask for a Social Security number, a policy number or a date of birth anywhere on this site. That is deliberate, and it should stay that way. If you ever meet a page presented as ours that asks for any of those, treat it as suspicious and tell us.
- No health information gathered by us. The guides do not ask about your health. Health comes up only in a conversation with a licensed agent, and it belongs to their record. If it comes up on a call, it will also be in the call recording for as long as the recording is kept.
- No Google Analytics. Google Analytics is not installed on this site. The only Google code on our pages is the Google tag used for Google Ads measurement and call reporting.
- No selling of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to data brokers or list sellers. Our money comes from the licensed independent agents who take the calls, not from selling information about the people who read the guides.
Cookies, the Google tag and the phone number you see
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognize the same browser later. The Google tag on this site uses cookies for two narrow purposes, and neither one involves knowing your name.
The first is advertising measurement. We pay for listings on Google Ads. When a click on one of those listings leads to a visit or a call, the Google tag reports that back to Google, so we can see which advertisements are worth paying for. What Google receives is described in the section on third parties below.
The second is call reporting. If you arrived from a Google ad, the Google tag may show you a Google forwarding number on the page in place of (404) 905-5692. A forwarding number is a phone number supplied by Google that rings straight through to the same line. It lets Google match the call to the ad that produced it. This is why a friend may see a different number on the same page. Calls placed from the call button inside one of our ads also pass through a Google forwarding number. Either way, you reach the same licensed agents on the same line.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off advertisement personalization in your Google account settings. Blocking them may mean a call cannot be matched to an ad, which is our problem and not yours. The guides will still read normally, and you can always dial (404) 905-5692 directly.
Call recording and who can hear a call
Calls to and from our line are carried on RingCentral, a cloud phone platform, and every call is recorded automatically. That includes calls you make to us and calls an agent makes to you.
There is no automated greeting or recorded announcement. Your call rings straight through to an agent. Agents are instructed to open every call by telling you that the call may be recorded. Agents are also instructed to tell you that you are not speaking to your insurance company.
Georgia, where we are based, allows a call to be recorded with the consent of one person on the call. Some states require everyone on the call to agree. If you do not want your call recorded, tell the agent or end the call. By staying on the call after being told it may be recorded, you agree to the recording.
If you would rather not be recorded, you can end the call at any time. You can read every guide on this site without calling, or call your insurance company directly using the number on your statement.
The people and companies who can reach a call recording or call record are these: RingCentral, as the platform that carries and stores it; and the staff and partners of Aliança Marketing LLC, who review calls and call logs for quality and to check what agents are billed. Voicemail transcripts are sent by email to the owners of Aliança Marketing LLC. The licensed independent agent was on the call and keeps their own notes under their own privacy notice. Recordings are not published, not posted, and not used in advertising, and they are not sent to Google.
The third parties involved, by name and role
These are all of them. If this list changes, this page changes with it.
- Google (Google Ads and the Google tag). Google's advertising service shows our listings in search results, and the Google tag on our pages measures what those listings produce. Google receives ad click identifiers, the pages you visit on this site, and, when a call comes from the site or an ad, the fact that a call happened, when it started, how long it lasted, and the area code of the calling number. Calls through a Google forwarding number pass through Google's phone system on their way to our line. Google does not receive your name from us, and it does not receive the call recording or anything you say on a call. Its purpose is measuring which advertisements produce calls so we know what to pay for.
- RingCentral. RingCentral, Inc. provides our phone line through its RingEX service. It receives the number you called from, the number you dialed, the date, time and length of the call, the call recording, and any voicemail and its transcript. Its purpose is carrying the call and holding the record of it.
- Cloudflare. Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website on Cloudflare Pages and routes email sent to our lifepolicydesk.com addresses. As host, it receives the ordinary request data, which includes your internet address and the pages requested. Its purpose is serving the website and delivering email.
- Google (Gmail). Email sent to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare to a Gmail inbox, so if you write to us, Google holds that email as our email provider.
- Licensed independent insurance agents. These are the people you reach when you call. They are not our employees, and they do not act as our representatives when they advise you. Each one receives whatever you choose to tell them on the call, which is usually far more than anything on this list, and holds it in their own records under their own privacy notice. This is the single most important entry here, because it is the one place where real detail about you and your policy goes.
How long things are kept
Call recordings are kept on RingCentral for 90 days and are then deleted automatically.
Call logs on RingCentral, and voicemail emails, are kept only as long as we need them for quality review, billing and handling requests, and are then deleted.
Website request data sits with Cloudflare, and advertising and call reporting data sits with Google, each under that company's own retention rules, which we do not control.
What an agent keeps is up to the agent and the rules that apply to them. Ask the agent.
Your choices, including how to ask for deletion
You can read every guide on this site without telling us anything. You can clear or block cookies. You can turn off advertisement personalization with Google. You can dial (404) 905-5692 directly rather than tapping a number shown on the page. You can end a call at any point.
To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, write to [email protected] and tell us enough to find the record. For a call, the number you called from and the rough date is usually enough. We will confirm we received the request, tell you what we found, and delete what we can. Where the record sits with a provider, such as a recording on RingCentral, we will delete it there or ask the provider to.
One honest limit. We cannot delete what a licensed independent agent holds, because it is not ours to delete. For that, contact the agent. We will help you figure out who that was.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over your information, including rights to see it, correct it, limit its use, or complain to a regulator. To use any of them, email us at [email protected].
Children
This site is written for adults dealing with their own policies or a family member's policy. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age at which consent is required. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When something changes, and in particular when a provider on the list above is added or replaced, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Where a change matters to callers, we will say so on the page rather than leave it to be noticed.
Speak with a licensed independent agent. Monday through Friday, 10am to 7pm Eastern. No cost, and no obligation to change anything.
